Description #

Similar to the common buzzard. It has got broad wings and a long tail. The plumage is very variable across all ages - typical adults are greyish-brown on its upperparts and whitish underparts. The male has a blue-grey head, while the female's head is brown. The female is slightly larger and darker than the male.
